This is a Yixing ZiSha Chinese teapot semi-handmade of Dou-Qing-Ni, typically in the color of earthy marble. The teapot is in a historical Fan-Hu design. It is named after a famous merchant Fan-Zhi-Cheng from the Qing Dynasty. It is believed that he was a tea lover and ordered Yixing teapots of only this design repeatedly due to its simple yet elegant outline and graceful pose. The Zisha teapot artists later named this design after his family name.
This teapot is decorated by traditional Chinese calligraphy.
It is a solid suitable for Pu-erh, Hei Cha, Oolong or black teas.
