Like many Chinese teas, Keemun Black Tea is named after its birth place - the Keemun area of the An-Hui province.
Keemun black tea is the only black tea listed in the "top ten premium Chinese tea list". The record to its early production was around the late 19th century with its landmark accreditation being the winning of a golden award at the 1915 Panama World's Trade Fair.
Keemun black Tea's production is labour intense and skifull. The premium Keemun black tea produced have tight and slim leaves with visible golden fine fur. The tea has a rich reddish color with a silky texture and gently sweet aroma, which has been described as 'roses like'. Keemun Black has also a unique 'Keemum fragrance' known as: a hint of wine, flower, fruit and pine.
Keemun black Tea's aroma and flavour are persistent and long lasting, even with the addition of milk.
It is considered as one of the world's top three black teas (together with Darjeeling Black Tea & Sri Lanka Ceylon).
Our Keemun black tea is premium quality and new season stock. It is a must try for those who enjoy a good cup of black tea.

I just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed my recent purchases from you. Each of the teas I bought have had something special to offer. The Keemun had a floral note that was delightful, the Ying Hong 9 was so smooth and perfect for a english palate. In particular the 古树滇紅 is superb with its distinct minerality and berry note finish that lingers on the palate. I'm yet to try my mini tea cake but I'm so excited given the quality of your products so far.
This is a fine black tea, not only because Keemun is my favourite black, but because Valley Green has supplied for Australia yet another fine quality tea from China. Well done and thanks, regards David.
This is one of the best black teas i have tried. It has a slightly smokey aromatic taste. The tea has a wonderful aroma and is very fresh. Very different from your garden variety supermarket tea bag tea. I highly recommend this tea to all.
