Lapsang Souchong 

Lapsang souchong is one of the very original black teas from the Wu-Yi region of the Fu-Jian Province, south-east of China. It is harvested from a type of small tea bush and traditionally smoked with pine needles or pine wood. Its dry leaves are full, strong and slightly twisted in appearance, with a rich/dark red colour. It has a protent smoky pine aroma with a fragrant trace of natural flowers and Chinese dates.

This is an unsmoked Lapsang Souchong, with all the natures of a traditional Lapsang Souchong, but not smoked by the pine needles during it is processing.

Lapsang souchong is a tea that goes especially well with meat curry dishes.
