Jasmine Black Tea — A Rare Black-Based Jasmine
Almost every jasmine tea you'll find uses a green tea base.
Ours is one of the few made with a black tea base instead.
Everyone loves jasmine — who doesn't? But if you lean towards black tea, or find green tea a little too wild and grassy, this is the jasmine tea for you.
Why a Black Tea Base?
Black tea gives a warmer, smoother, rounder cup than green.
It carries the jasmine differently — softer, mellower, with more body underneath.
The result is gentle and easy to drink. All the jasmine fragrance you love, on a fuller, cosier base.
It's a lovely everyday cup, and a nice change if green jasmine tea isn't quite your thing.
Loose Leaf, With Real Jasmine Flowers
This is a loose leaf tea, blended with dried jasmine flowers.
You can see the jasmine right there in the leaf. It looks lovely in a glass, and adds to the fresh, sweet scent.
Why Our Jasmine Tea Is So Fragrant — The Scenting
The aroma doesn't come from oils or flavouring. It comes from scenting (窨, xūn).
Fresh jasmine blossoms are layered with the tea over several nights. The leaf slowly drinks in the fragrance.
It's the traditional way to make real jasmine tea, and the reason the aroma runs deep.
How It Compares
