Like all other Oolong teas, Tie Guan Yin (Iron Buddha) is made of more mature tea leaves compared to the green and white tea varieties to produce the full body of Oolong tea flavour. The production of organic Tie Guan Yin is therefore more costly as the longer period required keeping the plants free of damage from insects, parasites and fungi etc.

This organic Tie Guan Yin is produced in Fu-Jian province of China. The dried tea's colour is lighter compared to the non-organic Tie Guan Yin, flavoured with more natural floral fragrance and a lingering refreshing aftertaste.
