This is a wood fired clay tea cup made for a rusty antique appearance. Various color dots appear on the surface as the result of the reaction between the minerals in the clay with the wood fire. This tea cup has a gray/blue layer in an Asian straw hat design. The blue color section of the cup has a smooth surface while the brown rusty section is rough to form a vivid contrast.
The tea cup could be used with almost any authentic Chinese tea pots to make a tea set.
