Rustic Stoneware Gaiwan – 160ml

A Chinese stoneware gaiwan with a soft, sandy finish.

Decorated with a raised cloud pattern running around the bowl and lid. The clouds are an old Chinese symbol of good fortune.

The surface is matte and smooth to the touch, inside and out, with tiny natural speckles in the clay. It's simple, earthy and quietly beautiful.

Gaiwan：

  • Capacity: 160ml
  • Size: 9.5cm wide × 8cm high
  • Material: high-fired stoneware with a matte glaze
  • Includes: gaiwan bowl, lid and saucer
  • Best for: any tea. The glazed surface won't hold flavour, so you can switch freely between green tea, oolong, black tea and pu-erh.

Matching cup

  • Capacity: 40ml (small)
  • Size: 6.5cm wide × 3.5cm high
  • A 160ml gaiwan fills about four of these cups per steep
