Buy tea canister
Using a tea canister to store tea: incorrect tea storage can cause tea quality to deteriorate rapidly. (This only refers to premium loose teas. The teaea bags are of low quality at the start, the further reduction in quality is therefore not as noticeable).
The four damaging factors of teas
- high temperature,
- foreign odours,
- moisture,
- light.
They are to be avoided where possible.
At Valley Green Tea we package all our teas in small sachets to preserve their freshness. Once the small sachets are opened, we recommend using a ceramic tea canister or Zi Sha tea canister and storing tea in a cool, dry place where it is free of other odours.
