DaYi (大益) is one of the best known Pu-erh brands in China and world wide and the 7572 cake is a classic and traditional Da-Yi ripened cake, in production since 1970s. It is produced using premium Mao-Cha (raw leaves) from the Men-Hai area. It has clear and brightly red tea brew with elegant mellow taste and silky texture. It is a must try for ripened Pu-erh lovers.
The cake offered here is a ripened 7572 cake - a classic and most known Dayi ripened (Shou) recipe in production since 1975. It has a dark rich brown leaf colour with plenty of the 'golden fur' leaves - the silver fur of the bud leave turned gold colour after fermentation. The leaf shapes are tight, clean and vivid.
It's brew is deep reddish colour, with elegant and long lasting aroma and gentle sweet after taste. It is a young ripened pu-erh, ready to be consumed or stored away to age.
Please note: Due to the recent wet weather in Sydney (where our warehouse is located), some of our products have been affected by mold. We therefore now routinely inspect the tea cakes before their shipping. For these Dayi cake, we unfortunately have to break the original seal to facilitate the inspection.
