Incorrect tea storage can cause tea quality to deteriorate rapidly. (This only refers to premium loose teas.  Because tea bags are of low quality to begin with, the further reduction in quality is therefore not significant).

We advise the storage of teas to eliminate all tea damaging factors such as high temperature, foreign odours, moisture and light.  At Valley Green Tea we package all our teas in small sachets to preserve their freshness. Once a small sachet is opened, we recommend using one of the ceramic or Zi Sha tea canisters and storing tea in a cool, dry place where it is free of other odours.
