The tea leaves are harvested from a type of unique ‘white’ tea trees believed to have developed naturally from conventional tea trees used for green tea production. The tea leaves are almost all white in early spring and gradually turn green with the progress of the season. In summer they are not different from other normal green tea trees. There is a window period of about 30 days to harvest the ‘white laves’ in spring. An-Ji white tea has very small annual production (< 100kg) due to scarcity of the tea plants. It is highly sought on the market.

An-Ji White tea has a unique and instant aroma (in the steam and brew from the minute the leaves contact the hot water). It is elegant, pure, clean and very refreshing to taste.
